Evelyn Watkins

Evelyn M. Watkins, 71 of McKean, PA, passed away on Monday, October 11, 2021 at UPMC Hamot. She was born in Erie, PA on August 20, 1950, the daughter of Patricia Goodban and the late William Goodban.

Evelyn graduated from Harborcreek High School. She worked for many years as an accountant for Erie International Institute and Watkins General Contracting, Inc. Evelyn enjoyed sewing, painting, traveling and spending time with family and friends. She studied R.B. Thieme, Jr. Bible Ministries and found joy in teaching doctrine. She was a proud Daughter of the American Revolution, and she loved working on her family tree.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Daryl Goodban.

Evelyn is survived by her husband Jack Watkins, with whom she recently celebrated 50 years of marriage; two sons, Dennis (Elizabeth) Watkins and Keith (Sara) Watkins, both of McKean, PA; two brothers, James (Chris) Goodban and Daniel (Mary Jo) Goodban, both of Northeast, PA; two sisters, Colleen Hushon of Spartansburg, PA and Heidi (William) McDonald of Lake City, PA; seven grandchildren, Bradley (Brie) Rekitt and Alison, Kennedy, Benjamin, Keller, Owen and Teaghan Watkins; two great grandchildren, Briley and Brad Rekitt; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Evelyn's family would like to thank family members, friends and healthcare professionals for the love, support and kindness shown to them throughout this journey.

Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Friday, October 15, 2021 from 6 to 9 p.m.
