Evelyn Tarbell Meabon, 90, of Edinboro, died, April 6, 2010 at Edinboro Manor. She was born in Waterford, PA, on October 1, 1919. Daughter of the late Robert E. and Ruth A. Sanders Lewis.
Evelyn worked for many years at Custom Control as a fabricator. On January 13, 1946 she married Garner L. Tarbell, who preceded her in death in 1992. In 1996 she married Leo E. Meabon, who preceded her in death in 1997.
Besides her husbands, Evelyn was preceded in death by two brothers, Elton and John Lewis, and her sister Mary Vetrone.
Survivors include her three sons, Jesse Tarbell, and his wife Jamie of Edinboro; Timothy Tarbell, and his wife Anita of Hermitage; Buck Tarbell and his wife Kitty of Edinboro; four daughters, Tamara Zuck, and her husband Todd of Fairview; Candace Zemcik, and her husband Robert of Donnegan, MO; Robyn Kovschak, and her husband Edward of Waterford; and Niki Salorino and her husband Jay of Erie; also 19 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home, 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Thursday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A service will be held there on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Rod Beardsley officiating.
