Emily Kraus Tobin, 75, of Edinboro, passed into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, January 16, 2013. Emily was born in Erie on April 10, 1937, the daughter of Emil and Gertrude Reiser Kraus.
She was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School in 1955 and was employed in the family business; Emil Kraus and Sons for 18 years. In addition, she was a long time employee of Dr. Florian Florek of Edinboro. Emily was a member of Our Lady of the Lake church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceeded in death by her brothers Bob and Paul Kraus, and sisters Virginia Klumph (husband Art Klumph), and Bette Johnson.
She is survived by her beloved family; husband, Ed “Toby” Tobin, daughters Lisa Loewel and Lynn Woodrow, son-in-law Mark Woodrow, grandsons Joshua Loewel, Jacob and Colton Woodrow. Emily is further survived by; a sister, Jane and husband Dave Johnson, sister-in-laws Ronnie Kraus and Marilyn Kraus, and brother-in-law Bob Johnson.
In addition to her family, she will be missed by her friends at the Edinboro YMCA and from River Ranch, FL.
No calling hours will be observed. A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
