Ella Marie (Fitch) Pahls, 77, of Waterford, died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospital. She was born in Corry, PA on December 20, 1938, the daughter of the late Octavous and Marion Fitch.
Ella graduated from Wattsburg High School in the class of 1957. She attended J.H. Thompson Academy where she earned her Licensed Practical Nursing Degree (LPN). She worked as an LPN at the Edinboro Manor and for 14 years she ran the Edinboro Food Pantry. Ella was also on the Juvenile Diversion Committee.
She enjoyed crocheting, collecting angels, watching TV, reading and music.
She was preceded in death by three sons, Robert M. James, George Bernard, III., and Jerry Lee Ellsworth; a daughter, Janet Marie Ellsworth; two brothers, Rodger and Ormel Fitch; and a sister, Aletha Halfast.
Survivors include her loving husband; William Deane; three sons, David Ellsworth of Ohio, Chris (Mary) Pahls of Erie, and Donald (Melissa) Pahls of Waterford; three daughters, Tammy Pahls and Lisa Briggs, both of Meadville, and Deanne (Fred) Russell of Edinboro, also 24 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held there at 7:00 pm with Rev. Duane Pinney officiating.
