Edward Lee Miller, 84, of Erie, passed away peacefully, Sunday, May 13, 2018 at the Edinboro Manor.
Ed was born May 11, 1934 in West Virginia to the late Lillian and Joseph Vern Miller. He was the youngest of 3 sons. He was married to Carol Miller also of Erie.
Ed’s trade for many years was a welder, and he later worked as the Building Maintenance Manager at Covington Valley Estates in Erie. He enjoyed listening/singing/dancing to music by Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole and Dean Martin. One of his most-liked songs was “Unforgettable” by Nat King Cole. His favorite pastime was watching John Wayne western movies. Ed was passionate about cars and motorcycles, and took great pride in maintaining and caring for his vehicles. He was a man of faith in the Lord our Savior, and led his life focusing on the goodness in people and without judgment of others.
He is preceded in death by a brother, Lavern Miller.
Ed is survived by his wife Carol Miller; daughters, Cheri Ignasiak (husband, Tim Ignasiak) of Arizona, Toni Brace (husband, Kirk Brace) of Edinboro, and Kristina Rayner (husband Jon Rayner) of Alabama; a brother, Ronald Miller (wife, Patti Miller) of Florida;. He has 8 grandchildren – Nicole Russo (husband, Jordan Russo), Brittney Bohrer (partner, Joe Allen), Cody Brace, William Rayner, Easton Rayner, Quinn Rayner, Wendy Kiwanuka (husband, Rashid), and Laura Ignasiak Gee (husband, David). Ed is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
The Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Edinboro, is in charge of funeral arrangements. No calling hours will be observed. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
