Edgar James Harris, 85, of Edinboro died Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011 at his home. He was born in Edinboro on April 25, 1926, the son of the late Fred and Hazel Ryan Harris.
Edgar was a local dairy farmer who was extremely hard working and dedicated all of his life. He also enjoyed hunting when he was able to get away from the farm work.
He was preceded in death by a brother in law, Robert White.
Survivors include his two sisters, Dorothy Price and her husband Charles of Union City and Mary White of Erie; a niece, Cheryl Nirmiaer (Ronald); four nephews, Gary Price (Yavonne), Mark Price (LuAnn), Matthew Price (Loretta), and Craig Price (Theresa); also several great & great-great nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home, 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Monday from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. A funeral service will be held there following viewing at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. David Waldo officiating.
Burial will be in Edinboro Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Edinboro Vol. Fire Department, 125 Meadville St., Edinboro, PA 16412.
