Earl A. Wellman, 82, of Edinboro died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014 at his home. He was born in Erie on Feb. 26, 1931, the son of the late Clyde D. and Blache M. (Colvin) Budd Wellman.
Earl was a farmer in Edinboro until the 1960's. After that, he worked at Marx Toys for 12 yrs, Stroehmann Bakery for 11 yrs, and then retired.
He loved being outside cutting wood and being with his dogs, Snitch, Gus and Biscuit.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents that helped raise him, Alfred L. Colvin and Kitty R. Kline.
Survivors include his loving wife of 47 years, Barbara M. Millspaw Wellman; two sons, David E. Wellman of Edinboro and Earl J. Wellman and his wife Christine of Summerville, SC; a daughter, Susan B. Wellman Arthur and her husband, Richard, of San Antonio, TX; two brothers, Melvin Wellman and Herbert Budd; a sister, Helen Finch; also, 10 grandchildren, Shawn, Blake, Grace and Faith Arthur, Charlie, Nicholas and Nathan Wellman, Mackenzie, Grant and Emiley Wellman.
No calling hours or service will be held.
The Glunt Funeral Home, Edinboro, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
