Dorothy Elizabeth (Jwasiuk) Turner, 85, of McKean, died Monday, Feb. 13, 2017 at UPMC Hamot Medical Center. She was born in Titusville, PA on June 29, 1931, daughter of the late William and Anastasia Jwasiuk.
She enjoyed bird watching, making crafts, puzzles, Polka and Country Music. When she was younger she enjoyed square dancing and taught herself to play the accordion and auto-harp.
She was preceded in death by a brother; William Jwasiuk, Jr., 3 sisters; Josephine Trezise, Anna Hoover, and Mary Babay; and a grandson Eric Turner.
Survivors include her loving husband, Harvey (Doc) Turner of 66 years; a son, Carl (Helen) Turner of McKean; 3 daughters, Sandy (Dennis) Gilbert of Edinboro, Marty (Paul) Chernichky of Edinboro, and Cheryl (Bill) Fowler of St. Augustine, FL; and 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Thursday, February 16, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A short committal service will be held at Valley Cemetery, Dunn Valley Road, McKean, on Friday at 12:00 p.m.
