Dorothy Jennings, 97, of Edinboro, died Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Edinboro Manor. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on March 21, 1915. Daughter of the late Voit L. and Katheryn Ruckert Dickinson.
Dorothy was an active member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, where she was also a charter member.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, Hugh Lawrence Jennings; her daughter Patricia Ann Jennings; brother Voit Dickinson; three sisters, Marge Schuster; Jean Coghill and Lois Phillips.
Survivors include her son Michael Jennings and his wife Patti of Roanoke, VA; three daughters, Mary Ann McDonald and her husband William of Erie; Kathy Anderson and her husband Kenneth of Lakeworth, FL and Carole Chriest and her husband Michael of Edinboro; also seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home, 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Monday 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A prayer service will be held there on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Lake Church at 11:00 a.m..
Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 128 Sunset Drive, Edinboro, PA 16412, or the charity of your choice.
