David R. Therasse, 92 of Edinboro, died Saturday, June 25, 2022 at home. He was born in Springdale, PA on February 6, 1930, the son of the late Joseph and Josephine Therasse.
When Dave was 16 his family moved to the Edinboro area. It was there that he met Charlotte Windsor, and the two were married in 1950. They moved to Erie, but eventually settled back in Edinboro where they built their own home and other outbuildings. He enjoyed nature, planting trees and building birdhouses. There was always a plentiful garden and a well-stocked pond for fishing.
Dave worked briefly for General Electric and was an Ironworker with Local 348 in Erie for over 40 years. He was a proud member of the NRA and a true patriot.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Michele Thayer; two brothers, Joseph (Flossie) Therasse and John (Arlene) Therasse; a grandson, Eric Haynes; and son-in-law, Duane Ford.
Survivors include his wife of 72 years, Charlotte; two daughters, Susan Ford and Nicole (David) McCool; 4 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
