David D. Stevens, Sr.

David D. Stevens, Sr., 84 of Edinboro, died Saturday, May 20, 2023 at St. Vincent. He was born in Erie on July 20, 1938, the son of late Harold and Margarite Stevens.

David was a graduate of Academy High School. He served in the US 256th Air Force and was stationed at Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota.

He worked as a machinist at Copes Vulcan in Lake City, PA.

David enjoyed going to antique car shows.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Stevens; and two sisters, Linda Cleaver and Irma Stevens.

Survivors include his loving wife, Grace Stevens; three sons, David Stevens, Jr., Daniel Stevens, and Thomas Harold (Margaret) Stevens; a daughter, Julie Stevens Shaw; also, 7 grandchildren, Emily, Abigail, Matthew, Jacob and Nicholas Stevens, Andrew and Samantha Shaw.

Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie St., Edinboro, on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A short prayer service will be held there at 8:45 p.m.

Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery on Thursday at 11 a.m.
