David Lyle Jackson, 65, of McKean Twp., died Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Golden Living Care Center. He was born in Butler, PA on July 10, 1946, the son of the late Roland and Mary Jane (Fink) Jackson.
David was a graduate of Karns City High School in Karns City, PA. After high school, he graduated from Grove City College with a Bachelor of Arts. David worked at National Fuel for over 28 years, retiring as a supervisor a few years ago.
He was preceded in death by a brother many years ago, Herman Richard “Ricky” Jackson.
Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Ann (Brink) Jackson; two sons, David Jackson and his wife, Alison, of Penn Hills, PA and Thomas Jackson and his wife, Melissa, of Charlotte, NC; a sister, Diane McGarvey, and her husband, Brian, of Chicora, PA; a brother, John Jackson and his wife, Victoria, of Karns City, PA; also two grandchildren, Nathan and Abigail Jackson; a niece, Lauren McGarvey and four nephews, Eric Jackson, and Aaron, Ethan, Evan McGarvey.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home, 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A service will be held there on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Barbara English officiating.
