Claude B. “Chip” Behr, Jr., 66, of Edinboro, died Friday, May 9, 2014 at his home. He was born in Pittsburgh on February 18, 1948, the son of the late Claude and Helen (McCann) Behr, Sr.
After graduating high school in Pittsburgh, Chip entered the US Army where he was part of military intelligence. He worked as a salesman in Pittsburgh at Witherspoon Motors in Sewickley. After moving to Edinboro, he worked at Chet Aleks Powersports in Erie, working on boats and jet skis. He worked mostly as a letter carrier for the US Post Office in Edinboro, along with still working on boat motors on the side.
Chip was a member of the Edinboro/McKean VFW Post 740.
Survivors include; two daughters, Kristin Leszunov and her husband Andrew of Pittsburgh, and Kellie Behr of Edinboro; a son, Curtis Behr of Meadville; and a granddaughter, Sage Leszunov.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service will be held there on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Tom Shelow officiating.
