Beverly Thomas

Beverly Ann Thomas, 95 of Erie, died Saturday, February 19, 2022 at ForestView Skilled Nursing Center.  She was born in Erie on March 23, 1926, the daughter of the late Glenn Schwindt and Evelyn (Sechrist) Schwindt.

Beverly loved watching nature outside in the sun, making plants grow and sports, especially the Pirates.  She loved children and enjoyed spending time with them.  She loved to read and enjoyed going to the library to chat with the librarian and check out more books.

Beverly believed life is about the journey and we should enjoy the ride. She lived her life with kindness and optimism and, by example, encouraged those around her to do the same.

Beverly was predeceased by her husband, David John Thomas and her son, Daniel John Thomas.

She is survived by her daughters, Sue Thomas and Mardi Murcek (Benjamin); and her granddaughter, Halle Murcek.

A special “thank you” to her family in the Woodlands neighborhood at ForestView for all their care and kindness.

No calling hours will be observed.

The Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Edinboro, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
