Betty J. Olsafsky, 87, of Edinboro, formerly of Liberty Street in Erie, died Friday, July 28, 2017 at the Edinboro Manor. She was born in Cherry Hill, PA on October 20, 1929, the daughter of the late George and Lydia (Heinonen) Seamon.
She graduated from Albion High School and was a nurse's aide at Western Reserve for 20 years. She enjoyed motorcycle riding, bowling, softball and car shows.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Edinboro and the St. Michael's Altar Rosary Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank J. Olsafsky, Jr in 2008.
Survivors include a son Gregor Olsavsky of Conneaut, OH: a daughter; Bonnie (Barry) Beringer of Arlington, VA; grandchildren Francis Beringer and Katie (Beringer) Derrick and her husband, Ryan.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, on Sunday, July 30, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake with Fr. Daniel Hoffman officiating.
Burial will be in Edinboro Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church .
