Bernard Reed

Bernard Thomas Reed USN. Ret., 63, of Coos Bay, Oregon, formerly of San Diego, CA and Edinboro, PA died July 24, 2011 in Coos Bay.  He was born January 6, 1948 to the late Otis K and Sylvia V Dout Reed.
He graduated from General McLane High School in 1967 and joined the Navy that fall.  He retired after 25 years service.  He then drove a delivery truck in San Diego until his retirement in 2010.  He was a life member of VFW Post 169 in Venango, PA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Eve and two brothers and a sister.
Survivors includehis brother Charles Reed, and his wife Rita of Saegertown; and three sisters, Kathryn Bunce husband Ray of Edinboro; Roberta Thompson of Edinboro; and Lucille Clark and her husband Bob of Florida.  He is also survived by, his stepchildren and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
There will be a full military burial at Valley Cemetery, McKean, PA at 1:00 p.m. On January 7, 2012.
