Barbara Jean Yatzor, 83, of Helena, Alabama, formerly of Edinboro, died Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Compassus Hospice and Palliative Care in Birmingham, AL. She was born in Waterford, PA on September 28, 1933, the daughter of the Robert and Helen Wilcox.
Barbara worked as a cafeteria worker for J.W. Parker Middle School, and also as a school bus driver for the General McLane School District for over 27 years. She also worked at the Summit Pet Hospital for 6 years.
She and her late husband, were members of the Sts. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church in Crossingville and then St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Erie.
Other than her husband, Michael, in 2001, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Anna Conklin and Nellie Hutsell.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Jane Douglas of California and Susan (Daniel) Stroup of Columbus, PA; two sisters, Clara Bell Risjan of Waterford; and Lelab Kieffer of Missouri; and three brothers, Russell Wilcox of Carlisle, PA,; Albert Wilcox of Tennessee; and George Wilcox of Union City; also 2 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.
The Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 210 Erie Street, Edinboro, is handling arrangements.
A graveside service will be held at the Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Crossingville on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 10:00 a.m.
