Barbara Miller

Barbara Jean Miller, 70, of Edinboro, died Friday, Nov. 17, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital. She was born in Gouverneur, NY on Sept. 24, 1947, daughter of the late Richard and Edna Mallette.

Barbara worked at Meadville Medical Center for 22 years as a Sterilization Specialist making sure that all the instruments were ready for surgery.

She loved to volunteer in the area, especially at the Franklin Twp Vol. Fire Departments bingo nights and at the McLane Church. Barbara enjoyed making crafts and loved spending time with her grandchildren, taking them where ever they wanted, especially the Edinboro American Legion Pool.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Darwin “Butch” Mallette.

Survivors include her husband, Roma Miller; 4 daughters, Lisa Alexandre of British Columbia, Canada; Renee Start of Edinboro, Ramona (Raymond) Junkins of Edinboro; and Rachael Miller (William Taylor) of Girard; two sisters, Brenda Ripley of Florida and Cheryl (John) Barbarito of New York; a brother, Richard Mallette of Florida; also, 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

No calling hours will be observed. A memorial service may be held at a later date.

The Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Edinboro, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
