Anton A. "Tony" Fensel

March 4, 1944 — January 10, 2021

Anton A. “Tony” Fensel, 76, of McKean, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital. He was born in Bradford, PA on March 4, 1944, the son of the late Anton and Helen Fensel.

He graduated from St. Bernard’s School and attended St. Bonaventure University. Tony proudly served for 4 years in the US Air Force during the Vietnam era. During that time, he worked in Berlin at Tempelhof Air Force Base. After an honorable discharge he attended Pittsburgh School of Technology. During his career he worked at Erie Marine Manufacturing and Eriez Magnetics for 30 plus years until his retirement as IT Director.

Tony served on the General McLane School Board for 16 years. He loved to travel, especially to the ocean.

He was a devoted spouse, father, brother, and uncle.  He loved spending time with his family and led a kind and gentle life, always thinking of others before himself.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Sean, Peter and Stephen Fensel.

Survivors include his loving wife of 42 years, Mary Fensel; a daughter, Kristen (Adam) Sturm of Easley, SC; a son, Anton “Tony” (Emily) Fensel of Edinboro; a brother, Charles Fensel of Fairview; and four loving grandchildren, Madelyn and Olivia Sturm, and Leo and Luca Fensel.

No calling hours or public services will be held at this time.

The Glunt Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., Edinboro, is in charge of funeral arrangements.

Burial of ashes will be held in St. Bernard Cemetery in Bradford, PA.
