Alice Ruth Bilinski died Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at St. Mary's Asbury Ridge. She was born on December 22, 1919, in Dunbar, West Virginia, daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Henry Dunbar.
Alice Ruth was retired from the Erie School System and taught second grade at Edison Elementary for many years.
She was a direct descendant of Patrick Henry and Governor Spotswood of V.A. She was a member of the American Association of University Women, the Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of American Colonists and the Patrick Henry Society.
Alice Ruth was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward P. Bilinski, on August 27, 2011; her sister Emma Austin on January 30, 2012 and her brother, John Dunbar.
Survivors include three sisters-in-law, Lorriane Bilinski of Fredonia, NY; Ann Bilinski of Cuba, NY and Anna Bilinski of Hinsdale, NY; one brother-in-law, Joseph Smolinski of Syracuse, NY; also many loving nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Glunt Funeral Home, 210 Erie St., Edinboro, on Friday, March 9, 2012 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.. A service will be held there on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 10:30 A.M..
Burial will be at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.
